Building a collaboration takes time and input from people with varied experiences and perspectives. In ten years, more than 800 people representing 100+ local, state and national organizations have taken part in setting community-level priorities and building collective capacity to implement changes together. If you are interested in joining a CSYA workgroup or attending a networking event, please contact Brittany Brown, CSYA Network Coordinator.
Hire a Young Person
A career pathway job with benefits is a powerful tool to reverse the effects of generational poverty and systemic marginalization. With support from CSYA community partners, each of Louisville’s young people, regardless of what they have experienced as a child, can be an asset in the workplace and the community. To learn more about how to employ and support Louisville’s valuable young people, contact Ra’Shann Martin.
Become a Mentor
Willing to share a bit of well earned wisdom with a young person? Want to let Louisville’s youth know their future matters? There are many ways to support young people through CSYA’s partner organizations including Home of the Innocents, Louisville Youth Group, and YouthBuild Louisville. For more information on how to find the best way to directly support young people, contact Nikki Thornton.
Connect with the Coalition
Once connected with CSYA, you will be part of a coalition of social workers and housing coordinators, judges and attorneys, nonprofit and elected leaders, medical and public health specialists, employers and educators, parents and young people and many others interested in transforming the way we assist vulnerable youth in our community. Join today!
